Manuel Castañón del Valle is a Spanish lawyer specializing in Environmental Law and one of the pioneering voices internationally in the legal recognition of future generations. His work has shaped a legal doctrine of his own and a concrete institutional proposal — the Future Generations Defender — which are now gaining ground in the international debate on the recognition of the human rights of future generations and sustainability.
